Childbirth Educators Training
Provided by Royal Women’s Hospital Childbirth Education and Training Department
This organisation offers both Internal and External training programs. Internal course is 3 days and held onsite at the hospital in Melbourne. External course is 2 days and held at wherever it is requested – i.e. at any hospital or organisation in Australia. Along with Class ideas and strategies, this program offers specific subject areas such as Breastfeeding and Parenting, Preparing for Labour, and Variations in labour.
Pre-requisites for entry into program:
Midwife, physiotherapist or independent educators with a sound knowledge of birthing and postnatal period.
Qualifications obtained at end of program:
Certificate to teach childbirth education
