Parenting Educator's Course
Provided by Parenting Education Service, John Hunter Hospital, Hunter New England Area Health Service.
This training program is broken into 2 courses running at 14 weeks each. Topics include: assessing learning needs, effective facilitation of learning in addition to; how to guide group work in birth awareness and parenting issues.
Pre-requisites for entry into program:
Registered Midwife with minimum 1 year post registration experience or Registered Physiotherapist working in or with an interest in maternal health.
Qualifications obtained at end of program:
Application for NACE & ACMI Endorsement in progress. Students who are interested in further study at postgraduate level at the University of Newcastle are able to apply for credit recognition of these
courses.
