Victorian Branch 2011 Annual Report

Hi everyone,

It is nice to say that Vic Branch has been busy the last few months.  We held a great Study Day at the Royal Women’s Hospital with the topic ‘What about Dads?’  It was well attended and the feedback was very positive.  Tim O’Leary’s presentation on Working with Dad’s was entertaining and most of the attendees felt that there was lots of useful information that they could use in their future presentations.  Lunch was also delicious.

We held a CBE training course over 4 days in September with six enthusiastic participants with the evaluations being very good. We are also currently looking at expanding our ‘bank’ of trainers and have had a few educators express interest in this.

Our next event is upcoming on the 14th of November and will be a combined Study Day and AGM to be held at the Metropole in Fitzroy.  We have a great line up of speakers and the advertising has gone out to Vic Branch members as well as the national website.  We usually have around 50 participants to these Study Days, so are looking forward to a great day.

NACE Vic Branch has had a small but dedicated committee that have been meeting on a regular basis over the last 12 months.  We are in a sound place financially, and are looking at how best to move our branch forward into the future.  Bring on the next 12 months!
