West Australian February 2012 Report
WA has had a quiet 5 months since the last National Meeting. We had planned an education day in January. However due to a poor response we have postponed this until April or July. This will allow us to increase our promotion of the day to our main audience of midwifery students.
In addition the State AGM was held by teleconference. The previous Executive was re-elected unopposed. This was in part due to the fact that there was limited participation from other members. The Executive is at a loss as to how to generate increased interest other than to encourage new students to consider NACE as an organization worth joining. Promotion of the National Competency Standards may also result in greater interest in the organization.
