ASCIA - NACE HotPubs

Based on the ongoing success of the ASCIA - CFAR Hot Publications food allergy session, the NACE is proud to partner with the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) to introduce the first ever ASCIA - NACE HotPubs session at the annual ASCIA Conference in Brisbane on Tuesday 2 September!

We are calling all Masters, PhD and early-mid career allergy researchers* to submit your abstracts by 5pm 22 July. 

Successful applicants will receive a NACE Travel Grant to present your work in the session chaired by NACE Leadership Group members Professor Sheryl van Nunen OAM and Dr Troy Wanandy.

Application process

  • Please complete the application form and submit it to [email protected] by 5pm 22 July 2025.
  • Successful applicants will be advised in August to register for the Conference
  • Information will be provided about the reimbursement process for covered travel costs

Travel Grant inclusions

The NACE is proud to support emerging allergy experts and will award HotPubs Travel Grants to successful applicants, covering:

  • Your flights (must be Red-E deal or equivalent)​
  • In-person registration for the ASCIA Conference Tuesday program ($A280-380)
  • ASCIA will provide complimentary registration for the Wednesday and Thursday program.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible you must:

  • Be enrolled in, or employed by, an Australian University as a PhD or Masters’ student (100 per cent research) or level A-C academic within 15 years of your PhD being awarded
  • Be an Australian citizen or an Australian permanent resident. International students / researchers based in Australia are also eligible
  • Be the principal author of the work, which must be largely the applicant’s own work and aligns with the NACE vision
  • Have at least one author, who is a member of a NACE Drug, Food, Insect or Respiratory Stream Advisory Group
  • Be a NACE member
