2026 ASCIA Conference | NACE Hot Publications - Call for abstract submissions.

Building on the ongoing success of the ASCIA - NACE Hot Publications session, the NACE is proud to partner once again with the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) to present the ASCIA - NACE HotPubs session at the 36th annual ASCIA Conference in Christchurch (NZ) on Thursday 3 September!
Eligible successful applicants will receive a modest NACE Travel Grant to present your work in the HotPubs session chaired by NACE Leadership Group members.
We are calling all Masters, PhD and early-mid career allergy researchers (EMCRs)* to submit your abstract by 1 June.
Applications will be considered on merit, with priority given to NACE-funded Postgraduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows, first-time recipients and applicants with accepted publications. The NACE Training and Innovation Pillar Lead will make the final decision on successful applications from those received.
Application process
- If you meet the eligibility criteria, please complete the application form by no later than 1 June;
- Applicants will be advised of the outcome by end of June;
- Successful applications will receive information on conference registration and reimbursement for covered travel costs.
*Food allergy researchers are encouraged to apply for the ASCIA - CFAR Symposium HotPubs session the Wednesday program.
HotPubs session eligibility criteria
Please read the below carefully
To be eligible to present you must:
- Be enrolled in, or employed by, an Australian or New Zealand University as a PhD or Masters’ student (100 per cent research) or level A-C academic within 15 years of your PhD being awarded
- Be based in Australia or New Zealand
- Be a principal author of the work, which should align with the NACE vision
- Have submitted your research or have it accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal within the previous 12 months
- Be a NACE member

Travel Grant eligibility and inclusions

The NACE is proud to support Travel Grants for Australian-based emerging allergy experts presenting on allergy research at the Hot Publications sessions.
Please note that researchers based in New Zealand are welcome to apply to present but are not eligible for Travel Grants.
Travel Grant support includes modest travel, including flights (must be Red-E deal or equivalent) and accommodation expenses.
ASCIA will provide complimentary registration for the Wednesday and Thursday Program for all HotPub presenters.
