Professor Jo DouglasCongratulations Professor Jo Douglass, NACE Respiratory Allergy Stream Advisory Group member, who received the Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in the King's Birthday Honours.

For distinguished service to medical research, to clinical immunology and allergy, to respiratory medicine, and to tertiary education.

Professor Douglass is the current head of the Department of Medicine, Melbourne Medical School and Director of Research at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. She was Head of the Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology Service, Department of Allergy, Immunology and Respiratory Medicine at The Alfred from 2003-2012, and a consultant physician in the department from 1996-2003.

She was also an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Central Clinical School from 2009-2012, an Associate Professor/Director of Academic Programs in the Central Clinical School and Honorary Clinical Associate Professor of the Department of Medicine from 2003-2007.
