Pillar 4: Training & Innovation
Fostering the next generation of allergy experts
Problem: As allergy rates surge, researchers face mounting pressures to answer urgent, unmet questions. Australia needs to grow its allergy research workforce to ensure that Australia can continue to lead the way in finding solutions to this intractable problem.
Solution: The NACE identified the next generation of allergy researchers and has awarded seven Postgraduate Scholarships and seven Postdoctoral Fellowships to help drive critical research forward. Senior NACE allergy researchers supervise the competitive scholars and fellows, while symposiums, in-person and virtual events offer high-calibre training and networking opportunities. Scholar Conference Grants are available to support the showcase of NACE-led allergy research on the world stage.
“We are committed to ensuring Australia does not fall behind in the global race to deliver life-changing breakthroughs in allergy research and care.”
