EAACI Congress 2023

Professor Kirsten Perrett, National Allergy Centre of Excellence (NACE) Director, and Professor Janet Davies NACE Repository and Discovery Hub Lead, are among our members featuring at the annual congress of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) in Germany this week.

The EAACI Congress 2023 will bring together scientists, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders involved in allergy and clinical immunology from around the world.

More than 120 scientific sessions will take place in Hamburg, with this year’s theme focusing on ‘pathways from precision medicine to personalised health care’.

“In Australia, 20 per cent of the population live with allergic disease, including 10 per cent of infants diagnosed with clinically confirmed food allergy,” said Prof Perrett, who will be presenting on the development of the NACE to delegates.

“Australia is leading the way in many aspects of allergic disease research thanks to the NACE and Centre for Food & Allergy Research (CFAR). This will be an exciting opportunity to share our knowledge and discoveries, particularly in the food and respiratory allergy streams.”
